- Navigate to the main dashboard of your property management platform. Locate and click on the ‘Documents’ menu item on the left-hand sidebar. A number will indicate if you have any documents that need attention.
- On the Documents page, you’ll find different tabs such as Approved, Pending, Draft, and Rejected. Look for the ‘Document Templates’ section, which might be displayed as a tab or button.
- Click on the ‘+ Create New Template’ button, usually found near the top right of the Document Templates section.
- Click on Create template
- Enter the title of your template in the ‘Template Title’ field.
- Select the ‘Template Type’ from the dropdown menu, which categorizes your template.
- After entering the details, click ‘Continue’ to proceed to the Template Editor. In the Template Editor, use the text editor to write your document. Use formatting tools to structure your document as needed.
- You can insert placeholders for dynamic data by clicking on the options provided, such as @Renter, @Property_Address, etc. These placeholders will be replaced with actual data when the document is generated.
- Once you’ve finished designing your template, click ‘Save Template’ to store your work. You should receive a confirmation that your template has been saved. Click ‘Continue’ to finish the process or ‘Go Back’ to make further edits.
